The HKFTU Rights and Benefits Committee urged the Chief Executive to scrap the MPF offsetting mechanism a.s.a.p.

On 1 Jan, the committee with 150 members of trade unions presented props of a “MPF offsetting mechanism worm” in front of Government House, and reminded CE to keep the promise： stop employers from using their portion of contributions to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) to cover severance or long-service payments to workers.
