May 2020 Support the Hong Kong National Security Law and Eliminate the Members with Violent Acts the Legislative Council

HKFTU is fully supportive of the Hong Kong National Security Law, regarding that it is incumbent for HKFTU to facilitate the promotion and implementation. Having set up numerous street counters in May and June, HKFTU aims at collecting signatures from the public to express their willingness to support the law jointly.

To improve Hong Kong stability, HKFTU fully supported the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress to define the qualifications of members in Hong Kong Legislative Council in accordance with the Constitution, the Basic Law and the Hong Kong National Security Law, which has permitted the SAR government to penalize members who do not comply with relevant laws and regulations.
