HKFTU is the largest labour organisation in HK.  It was founded on 17 Apr 1948 with initially 22 affiliated unions and membership of 20,000.  As in March 2008, it stands at 176 affiliated unions and 49 associated unions, representing about 300,000 people from all walks of life.

Monitoring and taking part in public policy making process and support the HKSAR Government to rule Hong Kong in accordance with the Basic Law under the “One country, Two systems” principle.
